Speaker: Dr Manu Nayar
Dr Many Nayar is a physician and member of Mr. Charnley's team at the Freeman Hospital. He will be talking about treating and managing long-term pancreatitis in ways which complement the surgical approaches we have heard about at recent meetings. This topic will no doubt be of interest to all pancreatitis patients, as he proposes to deal with pain management and diet, but it will be especially relevant to chronic sufferers.

OUR LATEST NEWS –May 2010
Pancreas North continues to offer support to patients, their families and their carers, and although we are not explicitly a fund-raising organisation we have received about £10,000 in donations over the past 6 years. These funds, in the last year, have gone to a Research Programme at the Freeman and at our most recent meeting we heard how this support is bearing fruit. Mr. White and Dr Ansari are well on the way to developing the tests necessary for identifying patients able to benefit from re-transplantation of islet cells. We wish them continued success.
